This Week's Updates

Color Run 2018!

Wood's 3rd annual Color Run is coming - mark your calendars for October 22nd!!

Students received their Color Run sponsorship packet last week, during Advisory. When they bring the packet home, please take a moment to help them to decide who they can ask to sponsor them.  Students will run laps during their PE class, and can ask for sponsorship per lap, or a flat donation. Donors can pay by check, cash, or online here.

This is a major fundraiser for Wood PTA - money  earned will go to support your students and our fabulous teachers and staff.

We need adult volunteers on October 22nd. Check your student's schedule if  you would like to help out during their PE class - you can sign up here.

Fall Festival - October 26!

Wood PTA is hosting the 2nd Annual Fall Fest on Friday, October 26, 6-8 pm at Wood Middle School MPR.  This is sure to be a frightfully fun event with tons of activities for students, their families, and staff!  Don't miss the fun, including games & prizes, snack bar, and the infamous Haunted Hallway!  Activities and food cost only $1 each.  Costumes are welcome, but masks and weapons should stay at home.

Lots of volunteers are needed to make it a success.  Sign-up for as many shifts as you’d like.  High school students and adults are all welcome to volunteer.  Please sign up to volunteer here

This workshop will discuss common mental health issues for young people, suicide factors and suicide warning signs. Learn how to begin a conversation with your child and about safety planning. Emphasis will be placed on how to get professional help.
