Join the Wood School Site Council (SSC)

The school site council is an important advisory committee that meets monthly to develop, maintain and evaluate school plans and budgets.  Parents and staff, elected by their peers, meet with Principal Harris to discuss school programs and improvements.  If you'd like to join, please ask in the office for your name to be added to the SSC ballot.  Questions?  Email Blanche Kim at  blanche@woodmiddlepta.com

Dine & Donate - Orchid Pavilion

We're excited to announce our first dine and donate of the year! Pick up some delicious food from Orchid Pavilion Cafe, 1540 Webster Street this Tuesday, Sept 18, from 5-9 pm.

It's a really small restaurant, so taking your food home is recommended! Order online here, or call in your order to 510-871-2908.

 

PTA Association Meeting, Thursday 9/20

We encourage everyone to join us for our first PTA meeting of the school year - Thursday, September 20, at 7:00 pm in the Media Center. We'll be outlining our plans for the year, and approving our budget. We hope to see you there!

Book Fair Now Online!

Many thanks to the Wood community - students, parents/ guardians, Wood staff and our wonderful volunteers - for another successful book fair!

The book fair is open online until September 27 - you can shop here for all the great titles you missed last week! Online purchases benefit the PTA too. And, online orders will be shipped free of charge to the school.

Otis Drive Safety Survey

Please read this notice from the City of Alameda about plans for Otis Drive and neighboring streets.  This work will significantly impact the area around Wood School. If you are ever concerned about the safety of our kids walking/biking near/along Otis Drive, we encourage you to complete the city's survey, linked in this notice.

Please submit your response by Sept 19.

By registering with Remind, your student can get Community Service Opportunity information and alerts by text.

Here's how it works:
